Just a Thought

Change…

We all come across it some point in our lives. Sometimes when we least expect it. This Sunday we were informed of some very sad news as Bro. Larry Purcell will no longer be our senior pastor at Second Baptist. As I sat and listened to Bro. Larry’s resignation speech all I could think was, “oh goodness here we go again.” but after thinking that, the Lord spoke to me and said it is not in his plan for us to have Bro. Larry as our minister any longer. As much as many if us hate to see him go we must realize that he is just doing God’s will.

Now, down to brass tacks here. It is quite obvious now that change is going to happen in Second Baptist Church. We must brace ourselves as we are on God’s watch and no one elses. God has something planned for our church, I know he does, we just have to open our eyes and see what that plan is.

As we go back to our normal lives this week, as the holidays are over, pray for our other ministers are put under more pressure than usual. Also, remember DNow ‘10 is just a few weeks off, so sign up soon!!!!
